What is a racerback bra?

A racerback bra features straps that meet between the shoulder blades in a Y, V, T, or X configuration, creating a centered strap anchor that prevents slippage and disappears seamlessly under sleeveless and racerback tops.

This engineered design centralizes strap tension to deliver steadier support and reduce slipping straps, making it particularly beneficial for those with narrow or sloped shoulders and during active movement. Racerback bras come in two styles: fixed racerback styles with front closures, or convertible designs with adjustable straps that transform from traditional to racerback.

The close-set strap placement not only provides enhanced support by distributing load more evenly across the upper back but also offers the freedom to wear cut-in armholes and fitted tops without visible strap lines. While Honeylove doesn't offer fixed racerback bras, many of our designs like the CrossOver, CloudEmbrace, and Silhouette feature convertible straps that crisscross to become racerbacks.
