A 32G bra size represents a specific combination of band and cup measurements. Knowing what this size means can help you find bras that actually work for your body.
Many people are surprised to learn they're a 32G, especially when mainstream retailers rarely carry this size. Here's what this size actually means and how to measure for it accurately.
The "32" indicates your band size, or the measurement around your ribcage just below your breasts. This means your underbust measures approximately 32 inches.
The "G" represents your cup size. Cup size is determined by the difference between your bust measurement (around the fullest part) and your band measurement. For a G cup, this difference is typically 7 inches.
A 32G bra size means you have a smaller ribcage with fuller breasts, which is a combination that can make bra shopping particularly frustrating. Many stores don't carry this size, or many people are sized incorrectly. The reality is that 32G is far more common than the retail market would suggest.
Wrap a soft measuring tape around your ribcage, directly under your breasts where your bra band sits. The tape should be snug but not tight. Keep the tape level all the way around your body, parallel to the floor. For the most accurate measurement, wear an unpadded bra.
Measure around the fullest part of your breasts. Keep the tape level across your back. The tape should just rest against your body and not be pulled too tightly.

For 32G, your sister sizes are:

You're not limited to basic, utilitarian bras. Today's market offers numerous styles in 32G:
T-shirt bras for smooth lines under clothing. The CloudEmbrace Bra is a modern take on a wireless t-shirt bra and it features sturdy foam cups and wide, smoothing wings for all-day comfortable support.

Sports bras designed for high-impact activities. The CrossFlex Activity Bra is the perfect hybrid of a compressive sports bra and a supportive wireless bra. Get the coverage and support that sports bras provide while enjoying wearable features like a seamless design that disappears under clothes and foam cups that create separation.

Wire-free options that still provide support. The SoftForm Bra is a great option for fuller chested shapes thanks to its stretchy yet compressive fabric and full coverage cups. Wide, supportive straps and bonding at the underbust add extra support.
