Finish by pulling the waistband up to your bra line for a perfect fit. They can come in handy if you have an especially long torso and need to add a bit of length in the front or back or just want that extra level of security. However, the straps are entirely optional, as the garment is designed to stay up on its own without the use of straps thanks to flexible boning hidden in the side seams.
