Betsie has her first single hit the Top 40 and tours the world to perform it live.
Our founder toured the world and still couldn’t find shapewear that worked.
With EDM Top 40 hits on the charts, Betsie Larkin was touring the world, performing with top DJs. She wanted shapewear for a confidence boost, but no matter how many brands she tried—the pieces didn’t feel good, work well, or stay up.
WINTER 2015
Betsie creates the first sample of what is now the SuperPower short with a criss-crossing X-shaped design, side boning and pretty mesh details.
So, she made her own.
Betsie’s bad experiences with shapewear were a lightbulb moment. She began sketching garments in her spare time backstage, dreaming up ways that shapewear could actually work for women’s bodies. Her sketching turned into design and sewing classes and manufacturing research. Then, after two years of hard work, Honeylove was born to viral success in 2018 with enormous customer love, a New York Times Style highlight, and ABC Good Morning America coverage. Now more than 3 million women have bought and loved Honeylove with every piece built on our obsession with comfort and support.
SPRING 2016
After months of research and failed attempts Betsie meets a factory who with the skill and willingness to make the SuperPower short. They make an initial order of 200 pieces so that Betsie can test the product.
