Feeling a little off these days? Same. We just wanted to take a moment to let you know that it's ok to not be ok.

It’s ok to need a break from the news.

It’s ok to be less productive than usual.

It’s ok to feel overwhelmed by the unknown.

While we collectively adjust to the new normal, we thought we'd offer some tried and true methods for instant stress relief. Got any tricks that are working for you? Leave them in the comments below!

Instant mood boost

Got two minutes? Follow this step-by-step guide for an immediate mind shift.

Step 1: Release tension

Relax your tongue. Unclench your jaw. Soften your shoulders.

Step 2: Soothe your nervous system

Take a deep breath in, and on each out breath, repeat the following phrases:

  • With every breath, I feel myself relaxing.
  • I have control over how I feel, and I choose to feel at peace.
  • All experiences are helping me grow.
  • I give myself permission to let go of what no longer serves me.

Step 3: Shift your focus

Gratitude is our not-so-secret weapon. Ask yourself, "what is good right now?" Then, make a mental list. Don't force anything, just try and let the ideas flow into your consciousness.

If you're having trouble getting started, here are a few items on our list:

  • The sunshine coming through the window
  • Technology that connects us to loved ones who are far away
  • Comfy sweatpants
  • Coffee

  • I needed your message. I turned on some ambient music to listen to while doing your exercise. It helped! I’m running for office (Mayor) and taking the time to reflect is so good for all of us. I wasn’t expecting this from a company. Good on you! <3 Stay well.
